Tomorrow, Microsoft will release Windows XP Service Pack 3, the first major update to the OS since 2004. Apple has released a required Boot Camp 2.1 update for SP3, and VMware has released an SP3 update for Fusion. Service Pack 3 will be available to users via Windows Update.
Please verify your apps such as FileMaker run properly.

Winclone… Clone your Boot Camp partition - Now with Vista cloning!
New Machine Setup a breeze If you are in charge of setting up a bunch of machines with both Mac OS X and Boot Camp, Winclone will make your job a breeze. The telecommunications giant said it’s getting rid of its pay phones by the end of next year before they become unprofitable.
If you hadn’t noticed, there are fewer pay phones around, down to about 1 million nationwide.
An AT&T spokesman said the company will try to sell 65,000 pay phones placed in prisons and public locations before the end of 2008. Phones that can’t be sold to independent operators will simply be removed.

Mail Forward allows you to forward mail from Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo, and AOL web mail accounts to any e-mail address. Standard POP and IMAP e-mail accounts can also be forwarded. Mail can be forwarded for up to 20 separate accounts. For each account, a forwarding address can be specified or a default destination can be used. Mail Forward works by accessing your e-mail account Inbox and forwarding each piece of mail through your SMTP mail server. Mail that is successfully forwarded can either be deleted from the forwarding account mailbox or left on the server. The forwarding account address is used as the return address for the forwarded mail, so if the mail is undeliverable it will be returned to the forwarding account. A built-in scheduling feature allows mail to be forwarded automatically at a specified time interval. Mail Forward also includes a basic scripting capability that allows you to use AppleScript to automate the forwarding of e-mail. (via Mail Forward 4.0.4 - MacUpdate)
In Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Apple has introduced Time Machine, a very convenient way to make backups. Unfortunately the backup interval is preset constantly to one hour. TimeMachineScheduler disables the automatic backup function of Time Machine and installs its own launchd agent. As the agent is located in the main library, the administrator password is required for all (writing) operations. Except disabling Time Machine no further system files and preferences will be touched by TimeMachineScheduler. (via TimeMachineScheduler 1.1 - MacUpdate)
